The breed standard

The standard of the German Shepherd Dog, its colour varieties and the working and show lines, shown on dogs in stance.

Chapter III · pages 20–25

The German Shepherd is the most widespread breed in Slovakia – in 2021 alone, 398 litters were registered. This chapter sets out the recognised standard, shows the colour varieties of the working line and representatives of the show line in stance and head studies, and says what the breed needs from its owner: training, an occupation and care for its health.

This is a preview. The full text, photographs and bloodline charts are in the book.
